JOHANNESBURG - Small Business Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu says a more structured approach needs be adopted to accelerate transformation in South Africa's business sector.

Zulu was speaking at the fourth annual Black Business Council Conference in Sandton.

The two-day conference aims to find ways to address the challenges faced by black business people in the country.

This year's conference centres on transformation and particularly why black business people should continue advocating for change in the country's economy.

Minister Zulu says more needs to be done to ensure that black business people can enter the country's economy.

"It's not good for white business to continue making the money and not just be bothered about the fact that there's black business who also need to be brought on board."

Various speakers made presentations today, with one suggesting that a staggering 41 percent of unemployed people in the country are black.
